Custom Rubber Parts Manufacturer

Products made of rubber are used everywhere, and in sectors such as industry, rubber is also used to make hoses, washers, or belts. Temco Rubber Industrial Group can design the mold in the best way and produce the part in the required quantity according to your choice of rubber part.

Custom Rubber Parts Manufacturing

The production of rubber parts, including O-rings ,washers and etc, has grown significantly in recent years. Today, most industrial devices and equipment are made of a wide variety of rubber parts. This is the reason why many factories and manufacturers are engaged in this field. It is expected that the production of rubber parts will increase in the future. In this article, we will examine the production of rubber parts.

Among the advantages of rubber parts, the following can be mentioned

  • Very high flexibility
  • Acceptable tensile strength
  • High tear resistance
  • High wear resistance
  • Resistant to corrosive substances
  • Excellent electrical insulation

Rubber Materials for Custom Manufacturing

Custom rubber parts are widely used in industrial equipment and machinery where sealing, vibration control, flexibility, insulation, or protection is required. Depending on the application, rubber components can be manufactured in different shapes, dimensions, hardness levels, and material compounds.

Temco Rubber manufactures custom rubber components for a wide range of industrial applications based on customer drawings, samples, and technical requirements. Material selection and manufacturing methods are determined according to factors such as temperature, pressure, chemical exposure, abrasion, and operating conditions.

Industrial Applications of Custom Rubber Parts

The technology and necessary devices for the production of this type of parts in the country have become more advanced than in the past years. Due to the advancement of mechanized machinery, rubber parts are made in different sizes and shapes.

Meanwhile, the world’s share of this market is only 35%. America ranks second after Asia. The cheapness of the raw materials, the large number of related industries, the existence of natural rubber and also the large population have made these two continents to be the leaders both in terms of production and consumption of rubber parts.

Rubber Molding Methods

Temco Rubber uses different rubber molding methods depending on the geometry, material, required accuracy, production volume, and application of each component. The most common manufacturing methods include compression molding, injection molding, and transfer molding. Each process offers different advantages in terms of cost, precision, production speed, and material efficiency.

Compression molding

Compression molding is a widely used method for manufacturing custom rubber parts, particularly for low- to medium-volume production and relatively simple component geometries.

In this process, a pre-measured rubber compound is placed directly into the heated mold cavity. The mold is then closed and pressure is applied, allowing the material to flow and fill the required shape. Heat and pressure are maintained during the curing process, after which the finished rubber component is removed and any excess flash is trimmed.

Compression molding can be an economical solution for producing rubber seals, O-rings, gaskets, washers, and other custom molded rubber components.

Injection molding

Rubber injection molding is an efficient manufacturing method for producing high volumes of custom rubber components with consistent quality and dimensional accuracy.

In this process, the rubber compound is heated and injected under high pressure into a closed mold through a system of runners and gates. The material fills the mold cavity, where heat and pressure are maintained until the rubber is fully cured.

Injection molding is especially suitable for repeat production, complex components, and applications where production speed, consistency, and reduced manual processing are important.

Transfer molding

Transfer molding is a rubber manufacturing process that combines some of the advantages of compression and injection molding. It is suitable for producing custom rubber components that require controlled material flow and consistent mold filling.

In this process, a measured amount of rubber compound is placed into a transfer pot above the mold cavity. A plunger applies heat and pressure, forcing the rubber through gates and into the closed mold cavities. The material is then cured under controlled temperature and pressure before the finished parts are removed.

Transfer molding can be suitable for low- to medium-volume production and for components with more detailed geometries where accurate material placement and consistent part quality are important.
