Design and Manufacture of PET and Polyethylene Molds
Blow molding is a specialized manufacturing process that creates hollow plastic parts, glass bottles, and industrial containers. At Temco Rubber Industrial Group, we engineer high-precision aluminum and steel blow molds tailored for PET, Polyethylene (HDPE/LDPE), and Polycarbonate (PC) applications with total dimensional accuracy.

Blow Molding Methods & Technologies
We deploy specialized tooling techniques to convert raw polymer granules and preforms into rigid hollow containers with minimal material waste.
Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) for PET
Stretch blow molding conditions or preheats a plastic preform to a specific temperature before placing it into a cooled aluminum mold. A internal stretch rod and high-pressure air needle rapidly expand the preform longitudinally and diagonally against the mold walls. This biaxial orientation dramatically increases clarity, barrier strength, and mechanical durability.
- Maximum production efficiency for high-volume beverage and food bottles
- Compatible with PET, Polypropylene (PP), PVC, and Polyacrylonitrile (PAN)
- Preforms can be manufactured independently or sourced from third parties
- Ideal for cylindrical, rectangular, or oval transparent and colored bottles
Extrusion Blow Molding for Polyethylene (HDPE / LDPE)
In extrusion blow molding, thermoplastic compound is melted and continuously extruded downward as a hollow parison tube. The cool steel mold halves clamp over the parison, and pressurized air is injected into the tube, forcing the plastic against the mold cavities. After cooling, the mold opens, and the hollow part is ejected with precise pinch-off geometry.
- Optimized for HDPE and LDPE polyethylene jerrycans, drums, and bottles
- Heavy-duty tool steel construction guarantees long lifespan under continuous extrusion
- Integrated cooling channels optimize cycle times and prevent thermal warping
- High flexibility in wall thickness control and handles integration
Blow Mold Tooling Classifications & Design Standards
Selecting the optimal mold material and engineering parameters ensures long-term mold durability and flawless bottle geometry.
Aluminum Blow Molds
Primarily engineered for PET and Polycarbonate (PC) bottles. Offers rapid thermal dissipation, short cooling cycles, and high polished surface finish.
Steel Blow Molds
Specially manufactured for LDPE and HDPE polyethylene containers. Resistant to sliding wear and continuous mechanical pinch-off forces.
Preform & Neck Finish Design
Meticulous calculation of preform weight, neck opening dimensions, thread pitch, and wall distribution to prevent structural collapse.
Venting & Draft Angles
Precision-engineered air exit micro-holes prevent vacuum pockets, while optimal draft angles ensure smooth, automated part ejection.
